Class and Free Saturday

We started the day with a class on UK Energy and country comparisons using a cultural model. The energy discussion focused on supply, demand and future issues facing the UK. The country comparison used the Geert Hofstede cultural model to compare countries around the world in 6 different cultural dimensions. We focused on how this would impact business planning in each country.
At 10:30 we ended class and everyone was able to have a free day to do whatever they like. The four ladies in the class took off to Grantham for fun afternoon of shopping and visiting restaurants.

The six guys decided to borrow Harlaxton bikes and rode to Grantham and around for a good afternoon.

Here they look like a biker gang.

My friends, Gill and James, from when I went to Lancaster University picked me up at Harlaxton for an afternoon tour of the area. They drove me to Melton Mowbury for lunch, Rutland Reservoir for a hike and dinner at a country pub.

Most everyone headed to the Bistro at Harlaxton for pint (or two) and some went back to Grantham for a fun night out.
